Parish Council
Wicken Parish Council was created in 1894 and has met continuously since then. A complete record of all meetings is in the minute books held in the Cambridge Archives at Country Hall, Cambridge.

Public Participation
Parishioners are welcome and encouraged to attend parish meetings. If anyone wishes to raise an issue, contact one of the Councillors and ask for it to be placed on the agenda. There is a 10 minute session at the start of each council meeting when parishioners may ask any questions or raise topics for discussion.

The figures were posted on this website and on the notice board but if you would like to see a copy, and the auditors comments, please contact the Clerk.
Parish Council meetings normally take place on the second Tuesday of each month in the Village Hall at 7:30 pm.
The Annual Parish Meeting is usually held in April each year.

The Playground on the Village Green
The Parish Council were delighted to have been successful in being awarded a grant by Amey Cespa to support the redevelopment and redesign of the playground for younger children on the green.

Marquee Hire
The Parish Council has four marquees available for hire by residents and businesses of the Parish of Wicken.

Local Plan Responses
Wicken Parish Council’s comments on the Second Draft Local Plan were submitted on the special consultation response forms required by East Cambs District Council.
